Introduction

Curo Salus officially opened in 2005 with our first house Northview House.

We are registered with the Care Inspectorate and the Registrar of Independent Schools to provide care and education for boys and girls aged from 5 - 18 years. Our service makes specialist provision for children who present challenging and inappropriate behaviours for a variety of reasons either at school, home or in the community.
Our children may have attachment difficulties, trauma issues, attention deficit hyperactive disorder; they may have suffered significant abuse, violence and neglect or may have post traumatic stress disorder or other mental health problems.
Most of our children have a history of educational problems resulting from exclusions from school or learning difficulties. Almost all will have underachieved and many will have experienced foster place or other placement breakdowns.

The task for Curo Salus is to help each child form appropriate relationships, in the context of safe, nurturing, therapeutic and healing environments.
